Logistics and Details for the Minnesota Men’s Conference:
What is included. What to Bring — What not to Bring
What is included.
Minnesota Men’s Conference tuition includes 6 nights’ accommodations and all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Camp cabins, dining room and main lodge are a combination of rustic and modern. We serve organic produce and dairy whenever possible, and vegetarian options are always available.
Conference workshops occur every morning. Attending specialized afternoon sessions, such as men’s poetry and aikido body-work, is encouraged. Many men join in an hour of singing each morning. Evening groups feature music, poetry and thoughtful discourse. The camp offers a 24-hour sauna – along with swimming, excellent lake-fishing, canoeing/kayaking and hiking in hundreds of acres of wild forest.
What to Bring
A sleeping bag or bedroll, pillow, personal items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush, razor, towel, washcloth, and a flashlight. Bring clothing for warm, cold, and wet weather. Don’t forget a journal or notebook, pens and pencils. Bug repellent and earplugs might also be useful.
What NOT to Bring
- DO NOT bring alcohol or non-prescription drugs.
- DO NOT bring video-recording equipment.
- DO NOT bring a tape recorder. Full conference recordings will be available for purchase at the end of the conference for participants only.
Phone, Computer and Camera use
Please respect the privacy of others. Speak softly and privately, if you have to remain in phone contact with family or associates. There is a landline, but bring a phone card for long-distance. We recommend turning phones and computers off – to rest from the pressures of modern life and enjoy a beautiful natural setting. Personal cameras are permitted, but please ask permission BEFORE you take a photograph of anyone.
By Air: From Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport (MSP), a charter bus drives directly to/from the camp. The cost is $85, paid in advance: bus fee online payment form. At MSP a conference participant will meet you in the main terminal, baggage claim, Gate 4. Look for the sign, “Men’s Conference”. The bus will be at the airport by 3:00pm on MONDAY, the first day of the conference, and leaves for the camp by 3:30pm. The bus will return to the airport on SUNDAY, the last day of the event, to be back at MSP by 3:00pm. Please arrange your Monday flights to arrive at MSP at least 1 hour before the bus departs the airport — and for Sunday flights, allow 90 minutes after the bus returns to the airport. Indicate flight arrangements on the conference form.

Books and Tapes
AllyPress.com operates a well-stocked bookstore, featuring books, tapes, CDs and videos by conference teachers and others. Visa and MasterCard are accepted for purchases. Complete conference recordings will also be handled through the bookstore.
Consider a contribution to the Richard Scott Scholarship Fund — for men who could not otherwise afford to attend. Use the online form to add your voluntary gift. If you know of someone who is interested in attending but has limited funds, please direct them to the Tuition Assistance Form. We still have room for more participants.
